Using HART to Increase Field Device Reliability.
As installed field instruments age, continuous on-line diagnostic data becomes
increasingly more valuable, especially
on critical applications. Many plants already have smart HART instruments installed, capable of providing all the fieldbus diagnostic functionality required. Bud Adler, Director of Business Development with Moore Industries, describes the technology and methodology of using the HART protocol to increase the reliability and functionality of measurement and control devices.
