Thank you for attending Basics of HART.
Thank you for joining us for the recent Basics of HART seminar presented by Wally Pratt of the HART Communication Foundation. The response to this seminar was overwhelming, and we trust it was very informative for you. As promised, we are making the presentation slides available to you for future reference.
To view the slides, click here, then select Basics of HART under White Papers. (please note, this is a fairly large file and may take a couple minutes to download.)
Evaluating Fieldbus Networks.
With the number of open communications protocols available today, deciding on the best one for you can be a confusing process. Wally Pratt's article entitled "Evaluating Fieldbus Networks" classifies the common industrial communication protocols, and discusses various points to consider when evaluating and choosing the right network. Using HART to Increase Field Device Reliability.
As installed field instruments age, continuous on-line diagnostic data becomes
increasingly more valuable, especially
on critical applications. Many plants already have smart HART instruments installed, capable of providing all the fieldbus diagnostic functionality required. Bud Adler, Director of Business Development with Moore Industries, describes the technology and methodology of using the HART protocol to increase the reliability and functionality of measurement and control devices.
