Is magnet selection important in Magnetic Level Indicator design? You bet! Magnetrol knows magnets. Seems obvious from their name, doesn't it?

Magnetrol The physical properties of magnetic materials are well known, and therefore can be properly selected for their application. As the MLI product Magnetrol provides is engineered for a specific application, the same approach is taken for magnets. There is no "magic" type of super magnet that is good for all applications. All types have strength and weaknesses. We encourage you to be wary of statements like " We use rare earth magnets for all our applications". Magnetrol's approach is to use the right magnet for the application. In some cases that would be Alnico, and in others it could be Samarium Cobalt. See the complete article on the importance of magnet selection here.

Type K Damper Drive Reliable, accurate damper drives have a significant effect on process and environmental issues. Type K damper drives can greatly improve the combustion of air and flue gases and reduces tramp air from entering furnaces.
Petroleum refineries and other industries are now forced to examine every aspect of their process-heating operations in order to reduce cumulative nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions from their plants. While aging furnace burners are already rapidly being replaced with newer low NOx burners, attention is now being directed toward the furnace and heater stack damper drives. See the complete article here.
