Requirements for Process Sealing Between Electrical Systems and Flammable or
Combustible Process Fluids
Provides
specific requirements for process sealing between electrical systems and
flammable or combustible process fluids where a failure could allow the
migration of process fluids directly into the electrical system. Examples of
this type of seal include diaphragm seals, thermowells, and pump seals.
This new requirement has been a significant
challenge for both manufacturers and users of our products. Fortunately both
Magnetrol and Yokogawa have been very responsive in getting the approvals needed
to comply.
We thought it would be helpful to pass on
the specific approval documents for both Magnetrol and Yokogawa. You are welcome
to download these as needed and we encourage you to bookmark this location for
